COMUNICA-ACTION

Since 2005 our purpose and commitment has been to AWARE and ACT.

Ecological, social and economic activism are part of our DNA and we are committed to a model of production and consumption focused on the welfare of society, protection of human rights, animal welfare and the conservation and protection of our oceans and ecosystems.

The Re-Generation Era started for us more than 13 years ago through WE Sustainability with the objective and challenge of walking towards Re-Generation through beach cleanups, workshops on environmental impact, talks, regenerative events and especially through social volunteering.

GREEN ACTIVISM

We promote beach, harbor and river cleanups.

Every week we organize a beach cleanup, changing locations to cover different areas of our coastline.

During these last 13 years we have been able to see how thanks to the cleanups the participants reflect and rethink their routine and their way of consuming

CLEANING, SEPARATION, ANALYSIS AND QUANTIFICATION OF WASTE

After a beach cleanup, it is very important to quantify and separate the waste in order to have data for statistics regarding the volume and type of waste collected.

The data is usually very impressive and the attendees like to know and really know everything that is collected.

WASTE PROCESSING: RECYCLING & UPCYCLING

Beach cleanups make sense if their objective is to raise awareness and recycle, as it would take decades to remove all the marine debris from both the surface and the seabed.

Therefore, in collaboration with the international platform Precious Plastic, we have the right machines to shred, melt and inject the different types of plastics to turn them into second life products.

VAZVA x PRECIOUS PLASTIC COLLECTION POINT

Reducing is key and part of the solution.

We find a lot of waste that can be used for recycling and therefore, we carry out two transformation techniques:

On the one hand, we recycle part of the plastic waste generated in our homes, allocating a large part of our resources to the collection of plastic packaging of 3 types (HDPE, PP and PS), with the aim of subsequently transforming them into new useful and long-lasting products.

On the other hand, we apply the upcycling method in which we take advantage of the waste we find during beach cleanups to transform it into raw material that is used to create furniture.

In this way we prevent them from ending up in landfills, or worse, in our oceans.

ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM WORKSHOPS

The workshops are another awareness-raising method that has an impact and highlights the value of all the work behind each handcrafted product. They are an exercise in reflection, as participants enjoy creative days while at the same time internalizing sustainable concepts, which once put into practice contribute to reducing emissions and waste generated.

SOCIAL ACTIVISM

Social activism is based on the number of impacts needed on people so that people have less impact on the environment.

This is why social volunteering

REGENERATIVE EVENTS

Sporting and musical events are a key point in our task of awareness and action, since we can develop our events as usual, but including the Sustainability part as something fun, educational and coherent.

ECONOMIC ACTIVISM

Economic Activism is based on a model with the axis of production and human rights with the aim of the common good of society, planet

A CASA NO ALTO. ART BY THE SEA

The "Centro de Interpretación de Arte do Mar A Casa no Alto" arises from the close collaboration of two environmental organizations in the province of A Coruña: Mar de Fábula, based in Camelle (Costa da Morte) and We Sustainability, based in the city of A Coruña. Both groups share the defense of a healthy marine environment and for years they have been jointly participating in beach cleanups, exhibitions and environmental workshops throughout the province of A Coruña. "A Casa no Alto" is the result of the efforts of both organizations to offer a space where to deepen the environmental claim through the different languages available. At the head of this project is Pablo López, visual artist associated with the activity of Mar de Fábula, and together, we want to present this initiative.
