September 19: World Beach Cleaning Day

Last Saturday, September 19, was the World Beach Cleaning Day.
Actions were carried out at a global level, with simultaneous coastal cleaning from more than 100 different countries.
⁣⁣
Although we do not believe in specific actions, but in a day-to-day life full of individual and collective awareness, the action that was carried out seems very significant to us, because it is yet another example of the urgent need to make a change.
⁣⁣
We were on the beaches of our city, A Coruña, joining forces through our platform for environmental activism WE Sustainability, with other partners such as Mar de FábulaMaelocCabreiroáHijos de Rivera or Wasted Shoes.

In our seas, beaches and coasts there are more and more plastics. But luckily, it is awakening social conscience around the world. We feel a lot of satisfaction and pride when we see that people want to join us to carry out these cleaning days to help eliminate garbage from the beaches and alert about the need to take measures to combat the problem.

We want to be there, we like to show you things from the inside, we want to collect marine litter with our own hands so that you can see the reality of our oceans and beaches.
⁣⁣
As a brand we have bet more than ever on real action, the protection of the environment and the seas, and this has led us to make decisions such as making part of our new collection with recycled polyester from the sea.

We believe that it is the consistent and correct thing to do. For this reason, we consider that our duty is to be in the first line of action.
