Interview with BALA

Interview with BALA

Hi Anxela, how are you? What have you been working on lately?

Hello, luckily we are in good health. They have been complicated weeks canceling everything we had planned, but we took the opportunity to do other things and to record a song from home during the confinement.

How have you been doing these weeks? Have your plans changed a lot with this situation?

The truth is that some days we get along well and others not so much ... But well, this is life and we have carried it in a positive way. We had to cancel concerts in California and many more, including some shows that we had not even announced and were very excited about, but they will come later.

What has been a normal day in your life during this season without being able to play?

Neither of us stopped working at all, so we were busy with that and also with some other hobbies. We took the opportunity to read, to rehearse a little, and to do those typical things for which we never had time. One of the things we did is this video that we present to you today.

What can you tell us about this video?

It is a Kyuss cover, a band that we really love since we are teenagers. In 2018 we had the opportunity to play in Joshua Tree (California), where stoner rock was born, hand in hand with them and some other bands there. It was an impressive festival in the middle of the desert, organized by some members of those bands, who contacted us to go and play there. A dream come true, come on. This year we were going to play there again, but as we had to cancel the trip, as a tribute we decided to dedicate this version to them with images of that trip that were never released. Our friend Pedro, who had also come with us on that trip, joined us with the bass.

Your new album is ready, right? What plans do you have soon?

Yes it is. We recorded the album in November and we are looking forward to releasing it, but we still have to wait a little bit. We will give more details about the release date and the first singles soon. On the other hand we are already focusing on planning some concerts adapted to a new format due to this situation, and of course programming shows already to be able to present the album in good conditions in 2021.

And finally, a space for you. Tell us whatever you want!

Just wanted to send our best wishes to everyone, we hope you are well. Hopefully we can meet soon, we are really looking forward to play.
